Some of the Existing Buildings Group lobbied MPs (or sometimes their assistants who they had delegated to attend) at the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 4th November, with others from the Retrofit for the Future Campaign. Here are some photos of us in Portcullis House and the briefing note.
It was great working alongside people from Fuel Poverty Action and ACORN, to demand that the Government make good the defects to people’s homes, which have resulted from the failed insulation schemes, reported in the recent National Audit Office Report, and that it ensures that its new Warm Homes Plan delivers quality. This requires a retrofit workforce skills plan, investment in training, and a rigorous system of regulation.
